company / history

The Andalusian Agricultural Fomenting Company, S.A.T. (FOASAT), whose headquarters are in Peñaflor (Seville), was set up in 1980 to produce and commercialize horticultural products. In these expansion years it has managed to consolidate its position as one of the most important commercial firms dealing in these products and has converted its Imperial Gold and Kopasper products into reference points for outstanding quality in both domestic and international markets..

Both the green and white asparagus are the source as well as the most solid main-stay of FOASAT. Later, the range of products was broadened to include stone fruits, especially peaches, nectarines and plums, products characterised by their early appearance in our areas of production, and the only ones to be found in the market-place at the beginning of the season. Our last stage has been to introduce the production and commercialization of citrus fruits, principally oranges, grapefruit and mandarins..

At the present time our fruit and vegetables have become a reference point in many markets and are increasingly present during the four seasons of the year.

In 2003 after the initial preparations to set up the Organisation of Fruit and Vegetable Producers, a project was designed for a new storage warehouse and the purchase of manipulating machinery for stone and citrus fruits in to increase our capacity to handle and commercialise products. FOASAT becomes an exclusively commercial society, working with products on sales commission. One of the most important reasons behind this new project was our clients’ insistence that we include citrus fruits to round out our products offer.

Currently, following our growth in infrastructure ( new warehouse and purchase of machinery) and after receiving the Recognition as Producing Organisation for category I (FRUITS AND VEGETABLES), we now have the wherewithal to attend to our clients with all the quality we have consolidated in the market place.
